A high-speed stirring powder spheroidization equipment, NSM is possible a wide range of processing, such as spheroidization, densification and compounding/surface coating of powders in micron order. Such processing is caused effectively by mechanical forces of impact, compression, shear, etc. produced by the high-speed rotating rotor blades in the NSM.

We can respond to requests such as temperature control with jackets, addition of binders and wear-resistant of the tank by changing its inside materials.

 

Features

The NSM has a simple structure with a unique blades, rotating at high speed in the tank mounted by jackets for temperature control. The blade shape can be changed, and it can be used for various processing purposes.

Spheroidization/Granulation

  • Carbon materials: natural/ artificial graphite, coke, pitch
  • Battery materials: anode materials
  • Others: resins, toners, new materials, etc.

Scaly particles of natural graphite can be spheroidized while increasing its bulk density as well as the tap density. When such spheroidized graphite particles are used as a negative electrode material in lithium-ion batteries, its performance in discharge capacity per unit area is expected to improve.

Compounding/Surface coating/Mechanochemical treatment

  • Battery materials: Anode materials, positive pole materials
  • Others: Compounding of carbon and resin paricles, coating of ultrafine particles on resins, etc.
