Angles of Internal Friction and Wall Friction

Shear

Powder shear powers are measured by filling powders in Jenike cell (combination of top ring, top lid, bottom vessel, etc.), and adding vertical load. By measuring shear powers every time change the vertical load, angle of internal friction can be calculated. Angle of wall friction is also calculated by measuring shear power between powders and wall materials (SS or MS plat). From this measurement, adherence, fluidity, max consolidation power and angle of inclination and outlet diameter of silos and hoppers can be assumed by further analysis as well as angles of internal friction and wall friction. If powders will be stored for a certain period, time tests that the powders are kept under the max consolidation power for the same period and then shorn are available.
